Yamaha To Launch R3 And MT-03 On December 15

Yamaha officially announced that the R3 and MT-03 will be officially launched in India on December 15. The company has been planning to introduce the model for some time now as it was confirmed during the Bharat GP that the motorcycles will be introduced by the middle of December. The R3 and MT-03 won’t be available in all dealerships across the country instead prospective buyers can be booked via Blue Square dealerships. The deliveries of the R3 and MT-03 are expected to begin soon after the price announcement.

Diving into the specifics of the Yamaha R3, enthusiasts can expect a fully-faired bike positioned above the YZF R15. The R3 boasts a potent 321cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, generating an impressive 42 BHP and 29.5 Nm of torque, promising an exhilarating ride. On the other hand, the MT-03, the naked sibling of the R3, shares the same robust 321cc engine. Positioned to rival the KTM Duke 390, the MT-03 is set to make its mark in the fiercely competitive segment, offering riders a distinctive and powerful naked bike option.

This launch follows Yamaha’s April showcase of its new lineup of big bikes in India, featuring not only the R3 and MT-03 but also the R7, R1M, MT-07, and MT-09. As Yamaha continues to expand its portfolio, the imminent arrival of the R3 and MT-03 signals a dynamic shift in the Indian motorcycling landscape, offering enthusiasts a diverse range of high-performance options to choose from. This is not the first time R3 is coming to India as the company had earlier offered the performance bike.
