By Toyota officially launched the Innova Hycross GX limited edition in India at the starting price of Rs. 20.07 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The limited edition model is priced at a premium of Rs. 40,000 over the regular GX variant. The design changes on the Innova Hycross GX are minimal as the MPV gets chrome garnish on the grille while the same chrome elements run on the front and rear bumper. Some of the features that miss out on the GX limited edition include bigger alloy wheels and other elements that are available on the top-end variant.
The changes on the interior are more evident compared to the exterior as the dashboard gets a soft touch finish and chestnut brown finish, which already comes standard on the top-end variants. Adding to the allure is a new faux wood trim encircling the window controls, contributing to an upscale interior ambience. The Innova Hycross GX Limited Edition, available in both 7-seater and 8-seater configurations, caters to the diverse needs of consumers. Noteworthy is the attention to detail in the upholstery department, with fabric seat covers featuring a striking dual-tone black and brown finish.
Under the hood, the limited edition maintains the powertrain from the standard GX variant. Exclusively powered by a 2.0-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine, the GX Limited Edition forgoes the more fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain. Mated to a CVT gearbox, the powerplant churns out an impressive 172hp and 205Nm of torque, ensuring a smooth and powerful driving experience. Toyota’s strategic decision to introduce the Hycross GX Limited Edition serves to make the non-hybrid variant more enticing to buyers during the current market conditions. It is a move to strike a balance between luxury, performance, and affordability in response to evolving consumer preferences. However, prospective buyers should act promptly as sources suggest that the Hycross GX Limited Edition will be available only until December or until stocks last.
