By MG officially launched the 6-seater variant Hector Plus in India at the starting price of Rs. 13.94 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The price is introductory and it will be valid only till August 2020 after that the company will increase the price by Rs. 50,000. During the Hector Plus launch, MG adopted a similar strategy and they got a really good response from the customers. Like the Hector, the 6-seater Plus model is also available in four variants – Style, Super, Smart and Sharp.
Like the regular model, Hector Plus is also available in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol engine is currently not available with Super variant but the diesel is available across all variants. The petrol model comes in two forms – 1.5 L turbo unit and the same engine with a mild-hybrid system to improve efficiency. The Hector Plus with turbo petrol hybrid engine combination is available only with the top-end sharp variant.
MG packed the Hector Plus with lots of features like the Hector and the only new addition is the hands-free tailgate feature apart from that the infotainment system gets an updated software while the response has been improved. Some of the features on Hector Plus includes 10.4-inch touch screen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, connected car features, 360-degree camera, LED headlamps and tail lamps, leather seats, voice commands and more.
The Hector Plus is powered by 1.5 L petrol engine with 141 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque while the diesel engine is 2.0 L unit sourced from FCA with 168 hp and 350 Nm. The gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and DCT. The automatic gearbox is available only with mild-hybrid petrol engine option. The Hector Plus is priced at Rs. 65,000 more than the regular model and the main competitor is going to be the Toyota Innova Crysta.
