This new variant of the Aerox 155, dubbed the ‘S’, brings a host of exciting features, with the keyless ignition system taking centre stage. Priced competitively at Rs 1,50,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Aerox S promises convenience and innovation for riders. The key highlight of this maxi-scooter is its Smart Key technology. With the Smart Key in hand, riders can enjoy a hassle-free experience, with features like ‘answer-back capability assists’ aiding in locating the scooter amidst a bustling crowd. Additionally, the Smart Key allows users to activate blinkers and a buzzer, adding to the ease of access.
Gone are the days of traditional key insertion; the Aerox S leaps forward with its keyless start system. Thanks to the proximity sensor integrated into the Smart Key, riders can initiate the scooter’s ignition by simply rotating a knob and pushing the start button, eliminating the need for physical key insertion. Underneath its sleek design, the Yamaha Aerox S houses the same robust 155cc, single-cylinder engine found in its standard counterpart. Boasting 15 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm @ 6,500 rpm, this scooter delivers impressive performance on the road.
