Upcoming Tata Cars In 2023

Tata Motors has seen impeccable growth over the past few years. The big Tata group equally offers passenger vehicles as well as commercial Vehicles in the country. Looking into the passenger vehicles, Tata Motors has been offering a wide range of products and its product line-up is largely dominated by SUVs. The Safari maker clearly knows how to make their respective models in limelight always as they keep on introducing special edition or limited edition models like Dark, Camo, Kaziranga and Jet edition are some of the common special edition models launched by the brand. With quality products that assure maximum safety, Tata motors were able to increase its sales by over 50 per cent in the country. The company is planning to keep up the positive sales growth into 2023 with lots of new launches lined up.

Tata Harrier facelift

The Harrier is one of the hottest-looking SUVs from the brand that is built on the OMEGA platform which is an updation to the D8 platform that underpins the Land Rover Discovery Sport. The updated model is expected to come with Advance driver assist tech with improved interior and exterior with tweaked styling in and around. The facelift model will feature a large Infotainment and it is expected to come equipped with the comfort of ventilated and powered front seats. However, the powertrain remains the same as the 2.0-litre diesel engine sourced from fiat that produces 170 bhp power and 350 Nm of torque. The Harrier facelift is expected to reach the Indian market in the festive season of 2023.

Tata Safari facelift

The Safari is the only multi-seater SUV from the brand that is built from the Harrier. Tata Safari shares everything with the Harrier. The only addition is the extra row of seats at the rear and rear disk brake rest everything is the same as the Harrier. However, the Safari facelift will also be featured with the updates of the Harrier that includes advanced driver assist tech and a large Infotainment display. The Safari is also powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine of Harrier. Tata Motors is expected to launch the updated Safari in the festive season.

Tata Altroz facelift

Tata Motors is working on the facelift version of Altroz as the premium hatchback is expected to get minor design tweaks like new front and rear bumpers along with new alloy wheels. Since the competition is coming up with new features, we can expect the Indian carmaker to add more equipment to make it more attractive in the segment. The hatchback is expected to feature a larger infotainment system with an updated interface, a new 360-degree camera, ventilated seats among other new features. However, the 1.5 diesel engine of the Altroz may not carry forward due to the BS6 emission norms it will most likely be powered by 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2-litre turbo petrol. Tata motors might bring up the EV variant of the Altroz to the market later in 2023 just before the launch of the facelift model.

Tata Punch EV

Tata punch EV will be the fourth electric vehicle offering from the brand it will make its debut at the 2023 auto expo and followed to that expected to launch the vehicle by mid-2023. Punch is a very significant model of the brand with the highest sales rate. The vehicle is designed for both ICE and electric vehicle hence it is the first electric from the brand to do so, all other electric vehicles in the brand are directly converted from ICE to electric vehicles. Punch EV is expected to be a game-changer in the segment. The Powertrain setup of the upcoming Punch EV will include a permanent magnet synchronous motor and battery packs. The mini SUV could be made available with two battery pack options – a 26kWh borrowed from the Tiago EV and a 30.2kWh sourced from the Nexon EV.

Tata Sierra EV

Tata showcased the concept of the Sierra EV in the 2020 auto expo and the production-spec of the Sierra is expected to launch in the market in 2023. The Sierra name is very significant in the history of Tata motors. The original Sierra has launched in India ahead of its time. It was a 2 door SUV that stood very different from other SUVs seen in the market. The concept in 2020 revived the name Sierra in 2 door electric model. The Sierra EV concept carries forward Tata’s IMPACT 2.0 design language and is based on the ALFA-ARC platform and the Tata Sierra EV is likely to feature a further developed version of the Ziptron EV power train for a range of around 400km on a single charge.
