Maruti Suzuki Brezza is one of the most popular models in its segment as it is known for its reliability and fuel efficiency. The company has been offering the CNG variant for some time now. When compared to regular petrol variants, the CNG misses out on some safety features. Now the company has finally updated the safety features of the CNG variant of Brezza. The Brezza CNG is available in four variants—LXI, VXI, and ZXI. The absence of an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Hold Assist compromised the overall safety profile.
Recognizing the importance of these features, Maruti Suzuki has integrated ESP and Hill Hold Assist across all three variants. This update underscores the brand’s commitment to prioritizing driver and passenger safety. ESP serves as a guardian angel during abrupt manoeuvres, ensuring stability and control even in challenging road conditions. On the other hand, Hill Hold Assist prevents roll-back on inclines, enhancing convenience and safety, particularly in urban and hilly terrains. These additions not only fortify the Brezza CNG’s safety credentials but also gives confidence in drivers, making every journey secure and stress-free.
Under the hood, the Brezza CNG retains its robust 1.5-litre petrol engine, offering commendable performance and efficiency. The power output is 87 bhp and 121 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the petrol variant enjoys the added flexibility of a 6-speed automatic transmission, catering to diverse driving preferences. We had the Brezza as part of our long-term fleet for six months and we really enjoyed the ownership experience as the compact SUV offers really good comfort along with excellent fuel efficiency too.
