Third Generation Porsche Panamera Officially Revealed

Porsche has officially unwrapped the highly anticipated third-generation Panamera, showcasing a host of updates that elevate its performance, style, and technological prowess. The 2024 Panamera sedan boasts a redesigned exterior, more potent engines, and enhanced handling, marking a significant evolution for this luxury four-door. Visually, the third-generation Panamera maintains the sleek aesthetic of its predecessor but introduces subtle refinements. Notable changes include an additional air inlet above the front license plate, catering to the cooling needs of the revamped powertrain lineup.

The car features new window lines and standard LED Matrix Design headlights. Inside the cabin, a redesigned centre console, reminiscent of the all-electric Taycan, includes a passenger display measuring 10.9 inches, offering performance data, infotainment control, and streaming capabilities. Distinguishing the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid is a unique front fascia, a rear diffuser, and dark bronze tailpipes. The Turbonite colour, present on side air blades, window surrounds, and rear branding, adds a touch of exclusivity. Turbonite is seamlessly integrated into the interior, including the central tachometer in the digital instrument cluster.

One of the standout features of the new Panamera lineup is the inclusion of four different E-Hybrid powertrains, with the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid leading the charge. This powerhouse combines a revamped twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with an electric motor fueled by a 25.9-kilowatt-hour battery, delivering a formidable total output of 670 horsepower and 928 Nm of torque. The eight-speed PDK transmission efficiently channels this power to all four wheels, propelling the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.0 seconds, with a top speed of 313 kph.

For the Panamera and Panamera 4 variants, Porsche has equipped them with a turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine. This engine produces an increased power output of 348 hp and 498 Nm of torque, contributing to quicker acceleration and higher top speeds. The Panamera achieves 100 kph in 5.0 seconds, while the Panamera 4 accomplishes the same feat in 4.7 seconds, both showcasing impressive performance. Enhancing the driving experience, the Panamera comes standard with a two-chamber, two-valve air suspension featuring Porsche Active Suspension Management. This innovative system separates damper compression and rebound control for heightened comfort. The optional Porsche Active Ride, available for E-Hybrid models, ensures a flat body posture, even compensating for pitch and roll movements during cornering.
