Third-Generation Porsche Panamera Launched In India At Rs. 1.68 Crore

Porsche officially launched the third-generation Panamera in India at the starting price of Rs. 1.68 Crore (Ex-Showroom) and the bookings for the new model will begin next week. Currently, the company is only offering the V6 Panamera in the Indian market as the V8 version of the Panamera is expected to be introduced sometime next year. Still, the sad news is that India won’t get Hybrid models as the German manufacturer didn’t get good sales when the Panamera Hybrid was introduced last time.

The much-hyped air-suspension system on the Panamera is only available in the Hybrid version and it won’t be available as an option as it uses the high-voltage hybrid electric system and it won’t be available for Indian users as the company is not going to launch the Hybrid models in India instead, India will get the semi-active suspension which is already available in the earlier models. The 911 maker will introduce the GTS version of the Panamera in India as it is popular among enthusiasts but is yet to be revealed globally.

The standard features of the new-generation Panamera include matrix LED headlamps, 8-way adjustable electric seats, 12.3 inch HD infotainment system, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, Mobile Phone Preparation, Voice Control, Audio Interface, six airbags and more. Most of the Porsche owners tend to add lots more features and accessories to their dream models to make it stand out from other Porsche’s. The Panamera is powered by a 2.9 L V6 petrol engine but the company has yet to reveal the official power figures and it is mated to an 8-speed PDK gearbox. The power is sent to rear wheels and to improve downforce during high speed, the Panamera comes with a two-way adaptive rear spoiler.
