Seventh Generation BMW 7 Series Launched in India at INR 1.7 Crore

The seventh generation BMW 7 Series launched in India at INR 1.7 crore. The flagship sedan of the brand has evolved more technologically and features more segment-class features. The G70 7 series was globally unveiled at Beijing auto show on April 2022. It surely drives an enthusiast as well as a common man to take a look at the flagship beauty that comprises top luxury and tech. The vehicle is built like even the most luxurious S class might get jealous. The sedan features the new BMW design language that is quite impressive with the vehicle dimensions and suits pretty well, but as a BMW the front fascia is polarizing with the oversized grille and new stacked headlight.

However, it gives the sedan a distinct character. The car is pretty conventional with the classic three-box saloon-car shape like an old car. The G70 7 Series over the exterior is a huge vehicle with an extended wheelbase. The vehicle features a long hood with a sharp line in the centre. The front fascia is dominated by the large kidney grille. The headlights are now stacked with a thinner lead DRL on top which is seen in the X7 before. The front bumper is pretty busy with fewer creases and lines. However, over the side the 7 Series host the new flush door handles with milder lines and creases.

The vehicle runs on 20-inch alloy wheels. Which adds up the grace over the side. The rear end of the vehicle is pretty clean with very few elements. Probably this is the first of the 7 Series to come with a very simple rear-end look ever. The simpler rear end looks to make the car feel more conventional three-box-saloon. The Interior of the vehicle is very impressive. Once you step inside the 7 Series interior takes you to a new era of technology and luxury combined.

The interior features the new curved wide display that integrates the Infotainment and instrument cluster. The rest of the 7 Series cabin is completely bespoke, however. It comes with a minimalist dashboard with hidden air vents, a new steering wheel, and plenty of touch-sensitive buttons under crystal-effect panels on the dashboard and doors. And on top, you get a massive panoramic glass roof with built-in mood-lit panels. The main feature of the car is its theatre screen.

BMW has given the 7 Series an optional 31-inch 8K display that folds down from the roof and stretches all the way across the back seats. Which is first in the segment. The 7 series is powered by a 3.0-litre inline-six cylinder petrol engine that produces 381hp power and 520 Nm of torque. The engine is assisted by 48 v electric motor which gives additional power of 18 hp and 200 Nm of torque, the engine is mated to 8-Speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission which enables the 7 series to sprint quater mile in 5.4 seconds.
