Porsche Macan EV Turbo Launched In India At Rs. 1.65 Crore

Porsche officially revealed the Macan EV globally as it is the second electric model of the company. Soon after the global introduction, the German manufacturer officially launched the Macan EV in the Indian market and the electric SUV is available in two variants – Macan 4 and Macan Turbo. The bookings for both models are officially open and the Macan Turbo is priced at Rs . 1.65 Crore (Ex-Showroom). Still, the company is yet to announce the price of the entry-level Macan 4 variant as it could be announced sometime later this year.

The deliveries of the Macan EV Turbo will commence in the second half of 2024. The Macan is Porsche’s entry-level SUV, and the company already offers a petrol version. Earlier reports have indicated that the petrol version will be discontinued in 2025 as the lineup will be exclusive to electric. The Macan EV is based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform, which also underpins the Audi Q6 E-tron as most of the major components like the Chassis, Battery and power electronics are shared.

The Macan EV is longer than the petrol version as its length increased by 103 mm, width by 15 mm and the electric SUV is closer to the ground by 2 mm. The SUV gets a 95 kWh battery pack as the Macan 4 produces 408 hp and 650 Nm while the Macan Turbo bumps the power to 639 hp and massive 1130 Nm torque (available for a short period). 0-100 kph in 3.3 sec for the Turbo and 5.2 sec for the Macan 4 while the top speed is 260 kph and 220 kph respectively. The officially claimed WLTP range is 613 km for the Macan 4 and 591 for the Turbo. The battery can be topped up from 10-80 per cent charge in 21 minutes using a 270 kW charger.
