MG Comet With 7.4 kW AC Fast Charger Launched In India At Rs. 8.23 Lakh

MG is one of the brands which listen to customer feedback and finally, the company has introduced a fast charging option with the Comet as it was earlier available with a 3.3 kW charger, which takes seven hours to completely top up the battery. The new 7.4 kW charger will certainly take much less time as it is expected to take around 3.5 hours to fully charge from 0-100 per cent, 10-80 per cent in 2.5 hours, and 0-80 per cent in 2.8 hours. This will certainly be a welcome move for customers who are planning to buy the Comet but the company is not giving the option for existing customers to update the charger.

Apart from the updation to the charger, the company has added several new features to Comet like an electronic parking brake with auto hold, rear disc brake, hill hold control, power hold ORVMs, electronic stability control, body coloured ORVMs & side garnish, integrated DRLs and Creep mode, which is very useful in city driving conditions.
