By Mercedes Benz launched the updated G-Wagon in the Indian market and the German manufacturer replaced the popular G350d with the new G400d as the latter was introduced in 2019. The option of a diesel engine certainly made the G-Wagon even more desirable for customers. In India, Mercedes Benz will offer the G400d in two variants – Adventure Edition and AMG Line. According to Mercedes Benz, the Adventure Edition is specially designed for the Indian market.
Mercedes G400d Adventure Edition comes in four unique exterior colours – desert sand, travertine beige, vintage blue and south seas blue, if they want these shades then they can choose from 25 different colours. Some of the other unique features include 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, removable ladder at the rear with anti-slip coating, logo projector in the outside mirror, roof luggage rack, Manufaktur Logo Package, an exterior package, a spare wheel holder, a door handle with an embossed logo and steering wheel in Nappa Leather.
The AMG Line gets 20-inch alloy wheels along with multibeam LED headlamps, sporty stainless steel spare wheel cover, underguard in silver, Burmester surround sound system, sliding sunroof, ambient lighting in 64 colours, AMG steering wheel and more. The G400d is powered by Mercedes Benz most powerful diesel engine which is the OM656 engine, a 2.9 L inline 6-cylinder engine that produces 330 hp and 700 Nm, which is 44 hp and 100 Nm more than 350d, mated to a 9-speed automatic. The Adventure Edition and AMG Line are priced at Rs. 2.55 Crore (Ex-Showroom) and deliveries begin in Q4 2023.
