By Maruti Suzuki continues to test the eVX across different parts of the country and the model has been spotted again. Like the previous spy shots, the eVX prototype is heavily camouflaged to hide details but still, we can make out some details. The charging port of the eVX is positioned on the front fender and it is very convenient too. Apart from this, we can notice that the door handle for the rear door is placed on the C-pillar instead of the conventional position as there are no fancy pop-up door handles like those on the premium models.
The Indo-Japanese manufacturer is known for making some kick-ass concept models but the production versions usually come out a lot different as they tend to play safe with design rather than going to the extreme like some of its competitors. The spy image reveals that mirrors are placed on the door instead of the A-pillar as it reduces drag and the alloy wheels on this particular prototype are similar to what we have seen on Baleno and the wheel arches are squared. The spoiler is integrated into the rear with full-length LED tail lamps.
The interior is not yet spotted but we can expect the design to be modern as the instrument cluster is likely to be fully digital while the infotainment system could be a 10-inch unit and connected car tech will be part of the package. We can expect Maruti to pack the eVX with lots of features. The eVX is based on a new electric platform developed with Toyota as the Japanese manufacturer will also introduce its version. Some reports indicate that the eVX could come with a 60 kWh battery pack with a 550 km range and a 48 kWh battery pack with a 400 km range.
