By Mahindra is testing the next generation of Scorpio for some time now. The test mule has been spotted n number of times and the latest spy shots reveal some of the features of Scorpio. The SUV will come with roof and pillar mounted speakers like the Thar as it has been popular among customers, which is why the company decided to implement it in the Scorpio also. Another interesting feature is that Scorpio will come with a regular sunroof instead of a panoramic roof like some modern cars.
But the introduction of sunroof will be popular among customers and it is the latest trend in the Industry. The Scorpio comes with a flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel with audio and other controls integrated into it. Mahindra will offer a leather-wrapped steering wheel on the top-end variants with premium stitching. The dashboard has been completely covered revealing more details but the centre console looks similar to the one on Thar but the infotainment system is placed in the middle rather than on the top.
The system could be an 8 or 10-inch unit depending on the variant and it will come with all the features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and more. The connected car tech is also likely to be part of the package while other features include a reverse camera, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and more. Mahindra Scorpio could come with a 2.2 L diesel and 2.0 L turbo petrol engine with both manual and automatic gearbox options, while reports also suggest that the Scorpio will retain the AWD system.
