Benelli 502C Cruiser India Launch Tomorrow

Benelli is going to introduce the much-awaited 502C modern cruiser tomorrow in India. The company has already teased the model on Twitter and it follows the same design theme as Ducati Diavel as it is popular among Indian customers. The pre-bookings for the cruiser commenced earlier this month and it is expected to be priced around Rs. 4.69 lakh (Ex-Showroom). According to reports, this is going to be an introductory price and depending on the colour options the price might change, which is the trend like other Benelli models.

The 502C shares the same engine as Leoncino 500 and TRK 502 as the 500 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine produces 47.5PS at 8500rpm and 46Nm at 6000rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. One of the biggest USP of 502C is going to be its 21.5-litre fuel tank, which will be a big boom for people who are looking for touring. The ground clearance is also massive at 170 mm while the seat height is 750 mm, which will be accessible for both short and tall riders as the riding position is focused towards comfort.

The front suspension duties are taken care of by upside-down forks and mono suspension at the rear while the front tyre is 120 section and the rear is 160 section wider tyres. The 502C comes with dual-channel ABS as part of the standard package as the front gets twin 280mm front petal discs with radial callipers and a 240mm petal disc at the rear. Kawasaki Vulcan S is one of the main competitors of the 502C and ever since the come back of Benelli into the Indian market, the company has been steadily adding new models to the portfolio.
