Tata Tiago NRG Teased, Launch On August 4

Tata Motors is going to launch a new variant of Tiago on August 4. The company released the teaser of the upcoming model on its social media handles. The NRG variant was already available on Tiago but it was discontinued. The teaser video didn’t reveal many details about the new variant but we can expect subtle changes to make the hatchback more attractive. The festival season will begin with Onam next month across India and the introduction of a new variant is to capitalize on it.

Some of the changes on the NRG variant includes a tweaked front grille with an updated bumper while the side might get some new claddings. The alloy wheels design is likely to be the same as the current model while the rear also gets a new bumper and updated tail lamps. Like the current colour options, we can expect more vibrant colours to be available with the NRG variant. Tata Motors will also add the NRG logo on the front, side and rear, which will help customers to differentiate the new model.

The interior changes include a new all-black theme, which is similar to the one we saw on the Dark Editon models. To spice up the cabin, we can expect Tata Motors to add some colour options for the centre console, door handles, seat stitching etc. Some of the features of the new model include an updated touchscreen infotainment system, climate control and more. The Tiago NRG will come with the same 1.2 L petrol engine from the current model with 84 hp and 113 Nm, mated to 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
