Harley Davidson X440 Price Hiked For The First Time

Harley Davidson officially increased the price of X440 for the first time after the launch. The X440 now starts at Rs. 2,39,500 lakh (Ex-Showroom) which is an increase of Rs. 10,500 compared to the launch price and this hike is applicable for all variants. The company is not yet started the production of the X440 as it is scheduled to take place next month, even before that the first price hike has been announced. The bookings for the X440 will be closed tomorrow to keep waiting period low.

The company will start test drives for the customers on September 1 and the deliveries are expected to start in October which is during the festival season as it is the time when most customers take delivery.  The X440 is powered by newly developed 440 cc single cylinder engine producing 27 hp of power at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine is mated to 6-speed gearbox. Harley has given 43 mm USD forks at front and dual shock absorbers at rear. The braking duties are taken care by 320 mm disc at the front and dual-channel ABS is also part of the package for extra safety.

Harley Davidson X440 tips the scale at 190.5 kg and seat height is 805 mm which makes it accessible for all the riders. The tyres on the X440 is the new MRF Zapper Hyke with 100/90-18 at front and 140/70-17 at rear. The X440 is available in three variants – Denim, Vivid and S. The Vivid is priced at Rs. 2.49 lakh and Rs. 2.69 lakh for the S variant which comes all the bells and whistles. The X440 competes head on against the recently launched Triumph Speed 400.
