By Mahindra is working on an update for the XUV300 as the compact SUV is facing stiff competition from rivals. According to new reports, the XUV300 facelift will get panoramic sunroof and it will be a segment first feature. The XUV300 already offers a sunroof in its top-end variant while some of the competitors also offer this feature but the introduction of panoramic sunroof is definitely going to be a big addition to the XUV300 as it is one of the features extremely popular with modern customers.
To introduce this new feature, Mahindra need to make several changes to the body as the overall shell need to be stronger than the existing model because the panoramic sunroof will weaken it. The company will introduce the panoramic sunroof on the XUV400 also but the update for the electric version is expected sometime later as the launch time frame has been updated. The XUV300 facelift was expected to be launched this year but the company delayed the launch to next year.
Apart from this new feature, Mahindra will make lots of design tweaks especially at the front with updated grille, new headlamps and bumper but the overall shape will be retained as major design update is expected for the generation change which would take place sometime in 2025 or may be in 2026. The interior is much needed for a change as it looks very old compared to competition. Mahindra will also introduce some new features to the XUV300 while the engine lineup will be same as current model.
