The Indian automobile industry is very price sensitive as success can depend on whether the model is priced well even if it’s a really good product. Usually, most manufacturers tend to increase prices over time but there are exceptions as Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) has reduced the price of some Benelli and Keeway motorcycles which made them even more value for money. Last month, the company revised the price of QJMotor and Zontes motorcycles as it created a buzz around these products.
In Benelli’s lineup, two motorcycles get the price cut as the biggest one is for the Leoncino at Rs, 4.99 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) which is Rs. 61,000 less than the earlier version as it was priced at Rs. 5.60 lakh (Both prices, Ex-Showroom). The price cut is huge as it undercut its main competitor Kawasaki Ninja 400 which is priced at Rs. 5.24 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The company has also reduced the price of the 502 C Power Cruiser and the price has come down by Rs. 60,000, which now comes to Rs. 5.25 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
The price cut has again helped Benelli to undercut the Kawasaki Eliminator 500 but the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is much cheaper. In Keeway’s lineup, only one product has received the price cut and it is the K300N naked bike. The K300N is now priced at Rs. 2.29 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) and when compared to the earlier model, the price has come down by Rs. 26,000. When we check the competition, the updated pricing makes it par. We can expect Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) to introduce new models to expand the portfolio.
