2021 BMW 5 Series Debut With Refreshed Styling And New Tech

BMW officially revealed the 5 Series facelift with the design theme similar to the new 3 Series. The changes for the design are focused heavily at the front as the sedan gets twin L-shaped LED headlamps with a new design theme while the kidney is larger than earlier but it is wider rather than taller one on the 7 Series.

The kidney grille design is similar to the 3 Series and the designers have also refreshed the bumper design across the variants as it is more noticeable so on the M-Sport variant. The changes to the side are limited to a new set of alloy wheels while the rear gets refreshed L-shaped LED tail lamps along with new bumper and twin exhaust. We can expect BMW to offer some new colour options too.

The interior changes are even more subtle as visually everything remains the same. BMW is now offering the 5 Series facelift with a 12.3-inch fully digital cluster. The infotainment system also gets an upgrade to the latest idrive7 and the company is offering 12.3-inch screen as standard. The software features redesigned graphics.

The response of the system is also much better and BMW is offering both Apple Carplay and Android Auto with the 5 Series facelift. BMW has carried over all the engines from earlier, which include petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid models but efficiency and performance has gone up. The German manufacturer is yet to reveal M5 and sales of the new 5 Series is expected to begin soon in global markets. We can expect BMW to launch the 5 Series next year in the Indian market.
