Upcoming Hero 440cc Bike To Be Called Mavrick

Hero MotoCorp is planning to unveil the much-anticipated new motorcycle based on the new 440cc platform developed with Harley Davidson. According to new reports, the motorcycle is likely to be named Mavrick 440, based on a trademark application filed by Hero in March 2023. This speculation gains strength from a unique teaser invitation strategy by Hero as they have used a similar marketing approach for the Harley Davidson X440, which created lots of buzz around the product and created positivity even before revealing the product.

Hero has sent out physical invitations to various publications, and each invite contains a single alphabet that will be part of the bike’s final name. The known alphabets include I, R, and V. While the first two letters could work for both the previously trademarked name, Hurikan 440, and Mavrick 440, the presence of the letter V strongly aligns with the latter, pointing towards Mavrick as the chosen name. The upcoming Mavrick 440 is set to make its public debut in January, with launch and first ride reviews expected to follow in February.

This collaboration with Harley-Davidson will see the Hero motorcycle utilizing the 440cc engine from the Harley-Davidson X440. However, the Mavrick 440 is anticipated to showcase a different style and possibly feature a different chassis, positioning it as a unique roadster within Hero’s lineup. But the character of the engine could be similar to the Harley Davidson X440 as we have to wait till the launch to know more about the power figures and other details. Most reports indicate that Hero is likely to undercut the X440.
