By Toyota officially released the first teaser of Urban Cruiser as the production model is expected to be revealed later this month. A unique offering from Toyota in India, the new Urban Cruiser exudes an ‘Urban Standout Appeal’ for those who love to ‘Travel in Style’. The Urban Cruiser would endear itself to the discerning customers who are seeking more from a compact SUV. The company will
launch the compact SUV in its India line-up during the festive season to cater to the growing demand for compact SUVs in India.
The Urban Cruiser is based on Vitara Brezza. Unlike Glanza, Toyota will make minor exterior design tweaks to make the model more attractive like redesigned headlamps, grille and bumper. But the rear and interior is expected to be same as Maruti. The Urban Cruiser will be powered by 1.5 L petrol engine from Brezza with 105 PS and 138 Nm. This engine also gets a mild-hybrid system too. The Urban Cruiser compete against the likes of Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV 300.
