By Maxxis Tires is one of the late entrants in the Indian Auto Industry as they started their operation in 2018 but the company had been on an aggressive strategic plan to improve its market share as they are the ninth largest tire company in the world. Recently we had a conversation with Bing-Lin Wu (Bing), the marketing head of Maxxis India as he revealed the future plans of the company for National and Kerala market.
The company already has a manufacturing plant in India at Sanand, Gujarat and they are currently focusing on supplying tires to OEMs as it is one of the ways to capture the market as most of its competitors are also doing it. The Taiwan based manufacturer had partnered with different manufacturers like Yamaha, Suzuki to name few. Initially, they will supply tires for scooter models from 100 cc to 125 cc.
Bing-Lin Wu also revealed that they are planning to expand the number of dealers across the country and even though they are a foreign manufacturer the company will price the tires aggressively against the competition. He didn’t give us exact details of the market share but their long term plan is to increase the market share to 50 per cent. The Maxxis tires are already popular in Kerala market as most of the off-road vehicles use them.

Maxxis offers a wide variety of products in the Indian market from entry-level motorcycles to high-performance models. In coming months, they are planning to expand the portfolio too.
