By Tata Motors officially launched the Tigor CNG automatic in India at Rs. 8.85 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). The company had already commenced bookings for the Tigor CNG in India along with Tiago hatchback. Like the hatchback model, the company hasn’t made any changes to the exterior apart from a new colour option called Meteor Bronze. The Tiago hatchback CNG automatic is available in different variants but the Tigor compact sedan CNG automatic is offered in just two variants – XZA and XZA+.
When compared to manual CNG variants, the automatic is priced at a premium of Rs. 60,000. The Tigor CNG automatic is powered by a 1.2 L Revotron petrol engine producing 72 bhp and 95 Nm in CNG mode but in petrol mode, the power increased to 85 bhp and 113 Nm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed AMT gearbox and according to Tata Motors, the claimed CNG mileage is 28.06 km/kg. The introduction of the automatic option does make the CNG compact sedan package even more attractive compared to the competition.
