Tata Nexon Facelift Spied Again, More Design Details Revealed

Tata Nexon is one of the best-selling compact SUVs in the country and since its launch, the company is yet to bring any major updates to the model. Recently, we have seen spy shots of the new Nexon and the test mules were heavily camouflaged to hide details. The latest set of prototype images gives more details about the design direction of the Nexon as the overall body shape will be carried over to the new model, which is good considering the popularity.

The front design is inspired by the Curvv and Sierra SUV concept from the Auto Expo. We can expect the Nexon to come with split headlamps setup while the LED DRLs will be connected like those on the concept and the fog lamps are likely to be placed lower. The air intake is slightly higher and wider while the hood gets muscular character lines on either side to continue the SUV look. The rear-view mirrors appear to be a tad bigger than the current model.

The side design is similar to the current model but the alloy wheels will be new and the designers might make some tweaks to the body panels. The rear will be completely new with LED tail lamps and a light bar to connect them. The company has clearly taken inspiration from the concept for the rear too. Overall, the Nexon facelift will be a huge update for the model but the launch is expected to take place sometime next year considering the development is not yet finished.
