By Tata Motors unveiled new 1.2 litre and 1.5 litre turbo petrol engines at the autoexpo 2023. Tata Motors pavilion was filled with exciting products that includes ICE, EV, CNG etc. And for a petrol head the most exciting product showcased at the autoexpo was the performance version of Altroz and the ICE powered Curvv concept. Eventhough Tata Motors is booming in the electric mobility divison the brand never fails to bring excitement to real petrol head enthusiasts. Now the brand has showcased the new engines that increase the enthusiasm. The effort Tata Motors have taken to develope a new engine in this transition era is appreciated.
The brands new range of turbo-petrol engines is a 1.2-litre T-GDi engine that produces 122 BHP of power and 225 Nm of torque, while the new 1.5-litre T-GDi unit puts out 165 BHP of power and 280 Nm of torque. The power figures of both the engines are exciting and the upcoming Curvv SUV Coupe is expected to come with the 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine. Making it more sporty on the looks and in the performance. Both the engines are BS6 complaint which are made from lightweight aluminium that are said to be more refined and fuel efficient. The engines are capable of running on E20 fuel – a blend of petrol with 20% ethanol. All the petrol heads are looking forward to see and experience the engine soon in the upcoming Tata cars.
