The Sanand plant, inaugurated in 2010 and spreading across 1100 acres, has been a cornerstone of Tata Motors’ manufacturing prowess. With over 6000 direct and indirect employees, the facility stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to excellence. The Sanand plant boasts state-of-the-art technology and a highly mechanized setup, incorporating lean process management systems across its operations.
From press lines to powertrain shops, the Sanand facility encompasses a comprehensive range of processes to ensure the production of world-class vehicles. Notably, the plant’s flexible assembly line has enabled the manufacturing of various models, including the Tiago, Tigor, and XPRES-T EV, showcasing Tata Motors’ versatility and adaptability in meeting diverse consumer demands. Beyond its manufacturing achievements, Tata Motors demonstrates a profound commitment to social responsibility.
The Sanand plant has undertaken various initiatives to uplift surrounding communities, adopting over 68 villages in the vicinity. From sanitation projects to women’s skill development programs, Tata Motors’ CSR initiatives have positively impacted the lives of over 3 lakh individuals in the region. The journey to the 1 millionth car represents not only a manufacturing triumph but also a testament to the dedication and perseverance of the Sanand facility’s workforce. Their relentless efforts and commitment to excellence have propelled Tata Motors to this historic milestone.
