By Tata Motors is revising the price of its entire portfolio and now it is time for the Harrier and Safari for price revision as the base variants of both these SUVs’ price have gone up by Rs. 20,000 while other variants’ price has increased by Rs. 25,000. We have lost count of price hikes for both of these SUVs. The Harrier now starts at Rs. 15 lakhs and goes all the way up to Rs. 22.60 lakh (Ex-Showroom), which is competitive compared to the competition.
While the 7-seater version of Harrier, which is the Safari now starts at Rs. 15.65 lakhs and the top-end variant is now priced at Rs. 24 lakhs (Ex-Showroom). Like Harrier and Safari, many of its competitors have also increased their prices over the last year. The 2.0 L diesel engine from Jeep power these models and the power output is 168 hp while the torque is 350 Nm, mated to manual and automatic gearbox options. Tata Motors is planning to introduce an update for the Harrier and Safari with new infotainment systems.
