By Jeep officially launched Club Editions of Compass and Meridian in India. The Club Edition is based on the entry-level variants of Compass and Meridian. Except for the Club Edition badges on the exterior and interior, Jeep hasn’t made any changes to the SUVs the interesting part is that the price of Club Edition undercut the price of the current entry-level variants, which does make these SUVs more attractive but the special price available till the end of this month.
The Compass Club Edition is priced at Rs. 20.99 lakh while the Meridian Club Edition comes at Rs. 27.75 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The former will be available with a 1.4 L turbocharged petrol engine with 161 hp and 250 Nm, mated to a 7-speed DCT. Some of the features of the Compass Club Edition are an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and more.
The Meridian Club Edition is powered by a 2.0 L diesel engine, which does duty on so many products in India and it produces 168 hp of power and 350 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and 0-100 kph comes up in 10.8 sec while the top speed is 198 kph. Some of the features include a 10.1-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless charger to name a few.
