By Tata Motors unveiled the electric avatar of the Harrier at the 2023 auto expo. The Harrier EV was teased by the brand before the auto expo through social media and as expected the manufacturer brought the vehicle with more interesting features than expected. Tata Harrier will be a very significant EV from the brand and it is likely to make a huge way for Tata Motors to further increase its footprint in the electric mobility industry. The Harrier EV is evolved from the current generation diesel-powered Harrier. The Harrier EV is built on the same OMEGARC platform that underpins the ICE Harrier.
The front fascia of the Harrier EV is evolved to look like electric vehicle with closed grille, the headlights shape is tweaked to more triangular. And the LED DRL light is renowned as the vehicle gets a LED strip that run across the hood that connect the LED DRLs. The front look simple with only some added electric vehicle elements. Over the side the vehicle remains unchanged and the only change is in the wheels. Over the rear also the vehicle doesn’t have much changes the electric Harrier gets a LED strip run across the boot lid that connects the taillights. The interior of the vehicle also gets a very simple design launguage it will feature a large Infotainment system. And a simpler looking updated dash. Inside, much of the equipment list will be largely the same as available with current models. Some key features include panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated driver and co-driver seats, premium speaker system, air purifier and wireless charger
The most exciting part of the EV is that it is going to be powered by 2 electric motors that power both front and rear axile respectively making it a 4wheel drive vehicle. Which means the vehicle will be able to do off-road. Added to the new drive train the vehicle will also feature advanced driver assist tech. The electric Harrier is expected to come with a larger battery pack and comes with higher power electric motor that will be able to make the Harrier EV goes faster. And the technical details of the vehicle is not yet reveled but we expect the vehicle to be a game changer.
