New Maruti Suzuki Swift Mileage Leaked Ahead of Launch

Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the new-generation Swift in India on May 9th and the company has officially opened bookings for the new model. One of the major changes coming for the new Swift is the introduction of an all-new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z Series engine, marking a departure from the outgoing model’s 4-cylinder K Series. The highlight of this powerplant is its enhanced fuel efficiency, boasting a claimed figure of 25.72 km/l. However, this comes with a slight compromise in power output, with the Z Series engine generating 82 HP and 112 Nm of torque, slightly lower than its predecessor. The real-world implications of this transition are yet to be fully gauged.

Maruti Suzuki aims to cater to diverse preferences by offering both AMT and manual gearbox options. Moreover, the leaked brochure hints at a significant upgrade in features compared to the previous model. Top-tier variants are expected to sport a luxurious 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, an Arkamys sound system, wireless charging capabilities, rear AC vents, and Type-C USB ports. Safety has also been prioritized, with all variants set to come equipped with 6 airbags as standard. Additionally, higher trim levels will feature LED fog lights, enhancing visibility and safety in adverse weather conditions.

One glance at the redesigned exterior is enough to captivate onlookers, featuring a striking low-slung grille, a sleek clamshell bonnet, and a distinctive floating roofline that exudes contemporary charm. The front fascia boasts large projector headlamps adorned with L-shaped DRLs, complemented by LED fog lamps for enhanced visibility and style. While the rear of the new Swift retains a sense of familiarity, it’s no less impressive, showcasing wide haunches, clear lens LED taillights, and a wraparound rear windshield for a seamless aesthetic appeal.
