Tata Altroz diesel will be another diesel engine that will be bidding goodbye from the market because of the BS6 emission norms. Tata Altroz is the premium hatchback of the brand that is offered in both diesel and petrol engines. However, the diesel engine did not comply with the BS6 emission norms on real driving emission tests. hence after this financial year, the Altroz diesel will not be there in the portfolio of Tata motors.

Tata Altroz is offered in 2 engine options- a 1.5 litre 4 cylinder diesel and 1.2 litre 3 cylinder petrol. The diesel engine produces 88 bhp power and 200 Nm of torque whereas the petrol engine produces 84 bhp power and 113 Nm of torque. Tata Altroz is also offered with a performance variant called the Altroz i-turbo. The Altroz i-turbo is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-charged petrol engine that produces 108 bhp power and 140 Nm of torque.
