By Bajaj has officially discontinued the single-channel ABS variant of the popular Pulsar N160, as confirmed by reliable dealer sources. Launched just last year, the Pulsar N160 initially came in two variants: single-channel ABS and dual-channel ABS, priced at Rs 1,22,854 and Rs 1,27,853 (ex-showroom) respectively. The decision to discontinue the single-channel ABS variant stems from shifting customer preferences. The price difference of approximately Rs 5,000 between the two variants didn’t deter buyers from opting for the enhanced safety provided by the dual-channel ABS.
Over time, a substantial majority of customers gravitated towards the dual-channel ABS variant, leading to a decline in demand for the single-channel version. Consequently, Bajaj has phased out the single-channel ABS variant, and as of now, the Pulsar N160 is exclusively available with dual-channel ABS at a revised price of Rs 1,30,560 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Pulsar N160, now available in three captivating colors – Brooklyn Black, Racing Red, and Caribbean Blue – continues to be a stylish and powerful option for motorcycle enthusiasts. All three color options are offered at the same price, providing buyers with the flexibility to choose their preferred aesthetic without any additional cost implications.
Under the hood, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is propelled by a robust 164.82cc, single-cylinder, air-oil-cooled engine capable of producing 16PS of power and 14.65Nm of torque. Sharing its platform with the Bajaj Pulsar N250, the N160 boasts near-identical features, bodywork, and color options, ensuring a cohesive and appealing design across the Pulsar lineup. As the single-channel ABS variant bids adieu, the Pulsar N160 with dual-channel ABS remains a testament to Bajaj’s commitment to rider safety and satisfaction, providing motorcycle enthusiasts with an enhanced and secure riding experience on the road.
