Second-Generation BMW X2 Officially Revealed

BMW officially revealed the second generation of the X2. The X2 is the coupe SUV version based on the popular X1. For the 2024 model year, the X2 emerges 193 mm longer, 20 mm wider, and 63.5 mm taller than its predecessor, which gives a bold look for the SUV. Interestingly, the fastback X2 surpasses its mechanically similar counterpart, the X1, by 66 mm in length. BMW is offering the X2 in two variants – the base X2 xDrive28i and the performance-oriented X2 M35i xDrive.

The opinions may vary, some design elements such as the gloss black accent bridging the kidney grilles and the taillights, while reminiscent of Mazda styling, imbue the X2 with a unique flair, ensuring it stands apart from its boxy sibling, the X1. The M-enhanced version of the X2 receives performance enhancements, including adaptive dampers, quicker-ratio steering, a multi-mode exhaust system, and 20-inch wheels. Enthusiasts can opt for the colossal M Compound brakes with 15.2-inch front rotors and 21-inch wheels, elevating both aesthetics and performance.

The interior of the X2 is exactly similar to the X1 as minimalism is the new theme. The dashboard is dominated by dual screens under a single glass with one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster. The infotainment system features the latest BMW software which is available in most of the modern BMWs. The steering wheel is a signature BMW M wheel and the SUV is packed with lots of features. BMW is offering lots of different engine options for the X2 and the company might bring it to India also.
