Royal Enfield Hunter Roadster Spied Again, Launch Soon

Royal Enfield is planning to launch a range of new products in India as some of the volume models in its current lineup are outdated in design and mechanicals too. Rushlane spotted a heavily camouflaged prototype of Hunter roadster testing in Chennai-Trichy highway. The name is yet to be confirmed as it is one of the names Royal Enfield applied for the trademark.

The prototype spotted has a relaxed riding position and it is expected to be based on Meteor 350, which will be the next launch of Royal Enfield in the Indian market. Some of the details, we can make out from the spy shots are round headlamp, wider handlebar, digital instrument cluster, big fuel tank and rear-set footpegs.

The retro cruiser misses out split seat but the rear fender is wider along with new LED tail lamps gives a muscular look for the motorcycle from the back. The Hunter prototype is also fitted with metal stays for attaching panniers and it suggests that the motorcycle is expected to come with lots of accessories like other Royal Enfield motorcycles.

The chain drive is on the left side and exhaust design is similar to the Interceptor 650. Royal Enfield has given disc brakes at the front and rear with ABS as a standard feature. The Hunter will be powered by the newly developed 350 cc engine, which will make its debut on the Meteor 350. The launch is expected to take place by the end of this year.
