MG Hector Blackstorm Launched In India At Rs. 21.25 Lakh

MG officially launched the Hector Blackstorm in India at the starting price of Rs. 21.25 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). The Hector is the third product in MG’s portfolio to get the Blackstorm treatment after the Gloster and Astor. The Blackstorm is equivalent to Tata Motors Dark Edition as this theme is extremely popular among customers. The Hector Blackstorm is based on the Sharp Pro variant, which is the second from the top and most of the changes are focused on aesthetics rather than mechanical.

The exterior is finished in a Starry Black colour theme and to make it stand out from other black colour variants, the company has given a smoked-out finish for both headlamps and tail lamps as the chrome finish has been replaced by a gun-metal finish on the grille as it gives a different look along with MG Logo. This same finish extends towards the lining on the front and rear while MG has given it on the base of the door while the trim that connects the tail lamps also comes in this colour. The faux skid plates also get this gunmetal finish.

The 18-inch alloy wheels are finished in black with red callipers. The company has also given some red elements too. The interior is also finished in black and the gunmetal has been given for some elements on the dashboard, centre console and steering wheel. Some of the features of the 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, digital driver’s display and more. MG Hector Blackstorm is available in a 1.5 L petrol engine with 143 hp and a 2.0 L diesel engine with 170 hp, the gearbox options include CVT and manual.
