Maruti Suzuki Issue Recall – Grand Vitara, XL6, Ertiga, Ciaz & Brezza

Maruti Suzuki today officially announced a massive recall and over 9,000 units have been affected which include models like Grand Vitara, Ciaz, Brezza & Ertiga. The reason for the recall is over a faulty seat belt shoulder height adjuster assembly, However, Toyota has also announced a recall of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder over the same Issue. This is the 3rd recall in the year but not a matter of concern as the move is a proactive approach, Maruti has recalled some vehicles in earlier October and April this year.

As the biggest manufacturer in the country with huge mass production vehicles in the lineup, Maruti always showed its concern even over very small factory defaults, It is suspected that a possible defect in one of the child parts of the shoulder height assembly. the front row seat belts which in rare cases might lead to the seat belt disassembly and are most likely affected 9125 vehicles manufactured between November 2 & November 28, 2022, this recall will be proactively taken place considering the safety of the customers and affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from the authorized workshop for immediate attention.

Maruti has asked the owners to get it checked and repaired as the company will be replacing the faulty part free of cost. All the recalled vehicles are the best-selling vehicles of Maruti’s line up hence it is taken better care of once again marking it’s the people’s car of India assuring a hassle-free experience throughout the ownership. Now bringing more tech and features to the cars Maruti marks its foot over the hybrid in the grand Vitara earlier this year which stands as a bridge for a transition from ICE vehicles to completely electric vehicles. Maruti is the only brand in the country with the highest number of CNG-offered cars now adding the Brezza to its CNG lineup.
