BMW officially launched the M4 Competition in India. This latest iteration of the iconic sports coupe promises an exhilarating driving experience coupled with luxurious features, albeit at a premium price point of Rs 1.53 crore (ex-showroom), thanks to its import via the CBU route. The exterior of the 2024 BMW M4 Competition is a blend of aggression and elegance. Updated Adaptive LED headlights and new LED taillights, inspired by the M4 CSL, give it a distinct visual identity. The signature kidney grille, albeit controversial for its size, retains its imposing presence, now with a gloss black finish and a horizontal double slat design.
For those seeking an extra touch of personalization, an optional M graphic for the front and rear is available. Performance-wise, the M4 Competition doesn’t disappoint. Under its carbon fibre roof lies the potent S58 turbocharged 3.0-litre 6-cylinder engine, churning out a blistering 523 BHP at 6,250 rpm and 650 Nm of torque at 2,750-5,370 rpm. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive four-wheel-drive system, it propels the M4 from 0-100 km/h in a mere 3.5 seconds, ensuring adrenaline-fueled acceleration at every turn.
The interior of the M4 Competition is equally captivating. Sporting an M leather steering wheel, M sports seats with Active Seat Ventilation, and the BMW Curved Display featuring OS 8.5, it seamlessly blends comfort with cutting-edge technology, providing occupants with a cockpit tailored for an immersive driving experience. Furthermore, the M Carbon exterior package adds a touch of aggressiveness, with carbon fibre inserts adorning the front air intakes, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler, complementing the car’s performance-oriented design.
