Mahindra officially trademarked Scorpio X name in India. According to new reports, the Scorpio X name is expected to be used for the upcoming new pickup truck. Scheduled for production and set to hit markets by 2025, the pickup truck marks Mahindra’s foray into a competitive segment. Adding to the excitement, Mahindra has secured the trademark for the name Scorpio X, hinting at its association with the upcoming pickup truck, destined to grace roads across multiple countries.

Initial plans focus on launching the Scorpio X in existing markets, including South Africa, ANZ, Africa MENA & SCA, with subsequent introductions slated for ASEAN markets in a phased approach. Designed on a new generation ladder frame platform, the Scorpio X promises enhanced durability and adaptability, a testament to Mahindra’s commitment to quality and innovation. Crafted at the Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS), the pickup truck draws inspiration from the Scorpio N, featuring rugged yet stylish aesthetics.

Some of the features expected on Scorpio X includes Level-2 ADAS, Trailer Sway Mitigation, All-Around Airbag Protection, Drowsy Driver Detection, and 5G Connectivity, aligning with modern trends and safety standards. While specifics regarding the engine remain undisclosed, Mahindra is expected to offer a range similar to that of the Scorpio N, complemented by the 4Xplore four-wheel-drive system, ensuring superior performance across diverse terrains.
