Mahindra Thar 5-Door Spied With New Alloy Wheels

Mahindra is testing the Thar 5-door extensively across different parts of the country. The latest spy pictures reveal the new 5-spoke alloys, which is similar to the one on the current 3-door model, but with a noteworthy twist. The addition of a shiny edge and a dual-tone effect lends a touch of premium aesthetics to the rugged off-roader, making it stand out in style. While the alloy wheels are a head-turner, Mahindra has more in store to distinguish the 5-door Thar. The vehicle is set to receive a host of premium features and design updates.

Upgrades include new LED headlights with LED DRLs, a refreshed grille design, and alluring LED tail lights. The color palette will also expand, offering enthusiasts more choices to personalize their Thar experience. Inside the cabin, a partially revealed interior showcases a sophisticated dual-tone black and brown theme. Technological advancements abound with a larger touchscreen infotainment system featuring the latest user interface. A new instrument cluster adds a modern touch to the dashboard, and additional comfort features include a front armrest, rear parking camera, and a sunroof.

Under the hood, the 5-door Thar will maintain its robust performance with engine options including the 2.0-liter turbo petrol unit and the 2.2-liter diesel engine. Transmission choices will encompass both manual and automatic options, with buyers having the flexibility to choose between 4×2 and 4×4 variants to suit their driving preferences. Adding to the excitement, Mahindra has recently trademarked several names, including Thar Armada, Cult, Rex, Savannah, Roxx, Gladius, and Centurion. Enthusiasts are particularly hopeful for the return of the Armada nameplate.
