Triumph Daytona 660 Officially Revealed, India Launch Later This Year

Triumph finally took wraps off the Daytona 660 as the British manufacturer has been teasing the model for some time now. The Daytona 660 is a fully-fired motorcycle with an aggressive design theme. The front gets new LED dual-headlamps along with a big visor, which is aerodynamically designed to cut the air and the mirrors are placed near the visor. The Daytona name is written on the fairing just above the LED indicators. On the lower part of the fairing, Triumph has written the 660 name to make sure that everyone will notice it.

Triumph has given a clip-on-handler bar and the foot pegs are rear set while the fuel tank gets a muscular design theme. The Daytona 660 comes with a fully digital cluster with a colour TFT screen integrated into a white-on-black LCD. The various functions of the TFT screen can be controlled via the switchgear. This instrument cluster is compatible with the Triumph Connectivity System which will give turn-by-turn navigation along with phone and music integration, which is already available on other 660 series motorcycles.

Triumph Daytona 660 is powered by a 660 cc inline 3-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 95 PS at 11,250 rpm and 69 Nm at 8,250 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the company has given Triumph’s Shift Assist also. The braking duties are taken care of by twin 310 mm floating discs at the front and 220 mm discs at the rear. The Daytona 660 comes with three different riding modes – Sport, Road and Rain. The performance bike rides on 17-inch wheels with 120/70 section tyre at the front and 180/55 section tyre at the rear. Triumph is expected to launch the Daytona 660 by the end of this year in India.
