By Kia has finally revealed the Sonet facelift as the company has been teasing the model for some time now. The company is yet to officially announce the price of Seltos as it will be revealed in January. The official bookings of the Sonet facelift start from December 20. The Sonet facelift follows the footpath of Seltos as the design changes are limited to the front and rear. The front gets redesigned LED headlamps with three elements inside it and the grille design is slightly different. Kia has also updated the bumper and the LED fog lamps are placed horizontally.
The changes to the side are limited to just 16-inch alloy wheels while the rear gets full-length LED tail lamps along with a new bumper. Kia has also introduced a new Pewter Olive colour with the Sonet as the compact SUV is now available with 8 different single-tone colours, two dual-tone colours and one matte finish. The interior retains the earlier model design but the major update is the introduction of a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster from the Seltos as it comes with more features than the earlier system.
One of the major new features on the Sonet is the introduction of Level-II ADAS features even though it is not the first model in its segment to come with it. Some of the ADAS features are forward collision warning, high beam assist, lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance assistance and warning, lane departure warning and more. Kia hasn’t skipped on safety as the Sonet facelift comes with six airbags, TPMS, ESC and more. The Sonet continues to be powered by a 1.2 L petrol engine with 83 PS, a 1.0 L turbocharged petrol engine with 120 hp and a 1.5 L diesel engine with 116 PS. The 1.2 L petrol engine gets a 5-speed manual gearbox only while the turbo petrol unit gets a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT and the diesel now gets a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter.
