Kia Clavis Spotted In India Again

Kia continues to test the Clavis in India as the model has been spotted testing again. The Clavis is codenamed AY with a new design language that is focused on youngsters. The overall design theme of the Clavis is different from the existing Kia models. The latest set of spy shots reveals that the Clavis gets horizontally placed LED DRLs on either side of the bumper. The headlamps are expected to be placed in the conventional position rather than going for the split-headlamps setup which is popular among modern cars.

Like the front, the rear is also expected to get horizontally placed LED tail lamps, which might look similar to the Scorprio and we can also see reflectors placed on the lower part of the bumper again horizontally. The interior is still a mystery but it will be modern and could be loaded with features like cooled seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera setup, Kia leaves no stone unturned in ensuring passenger comfort and convenience. The company is giving importance to safety as it takes centre stage with six airbags, four-wheel disc brakes, and the possibility of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in higher variants.

The Clavis is expected to offer a variety of front-wheel-drive powertrains, including conventional internal combustion engines, hybrids, and electric variants. The Clavis EV, based on the same platform as its ICE counterparts, promises a sustainable driving solution for eco-conscious consumers. Kia’s ambitious plans for the Clavis extend beyond domestic borders, with projections indicating significant export volumes alongside catering to the Indian market. The launch is expected to take place by the end of this year.
