Jeep Compass Facelift Officially Revealed, India Launch Next Year

After lots of teasers and spy images, Jeep officially revealed the Compass facelift at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. We were expecting Jeep to give a major makeover for the Compass. Instead, the exterior design changes are minor as the front gets new honey grille pattern inside the 7-slats grille and the bumper is also new with redesigned fog lamp housing and the projector lights have been replaced by full-LED units.

The only change on the side is updated alloy wheels. Jeep is yet to release images of the rear but we can expect tweaked tail lamps with LEDs and a new bumper. The Trailhawk variant also gets changes as the front gets a new bumper and the grille is finished in black colour and the company has given some red accents on the hood too. The tow hook is finished in red and Trailhawk badges on the front and back too. The alloy wheel on the Traikhawk is also new.

The interior of Compass is completely different from the earlier model as the dashboard gets a new design with stitched leather inserts and the quality has been increased too. The infotainment system is a new 10.1 inch unit with new UConnect 5 software as it comes with integrated Amazon Alexa along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Jeep is also offering connected car features on the new system with OTA updates too.

The instrument cluster is even bigger as it is a 10.25 inch fully digital unit with lots of information for the driver and the company is also offering customising options too. The steering wheel is a new three-spoke unit with integrated controls for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Jeep is offering new engines in China but the India-spec model will continue to be powered by 1.4 L turbo petrol and 2.0 L diesel engine with manual and auto gearbox options.
