KTM 250 Adventure Launched In India, Price Starts At Rs. 2.48 Lakh

KTM officially launched the 250 Adventure in India and it is the entry-level adventure model of the company. The Austrian manufacturer had already introduced the 390 Adventure and the model has been so popular among customers which gave confidence for the Duke maker to introduce the new model. Like the Duke and RC models, the entry-level 250 Adventure follows the same design footsteps of bigger 390 Adventure.

But to keep the cost down KTM made some changes as the headlamp is regular halogen instead of the full LED set up. Another change is on the instrument cluster as the 250 Adventure comes with an LCD display instead of the advanced TFT unit. Some of the premium features like Bluetooth connectivity, ride by wire and the quick-shifter has been omitted from the 250 Adventure even though the essential features and specifications have been retained.

One of the USP of KTM 250 Adventure is its styling as the front get vertically placed headlamps with tall windshield while the fuel tank and rest of the design theme are shared from its bigger sibling. The 250 Adventure is powered by 248 cc single-cylinder engine which also does duty on a number of Bajaj, KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles but the tuning is expected to be slightly different on the adventure model as it is meant for off-roading too.

This engine produces 29.5 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and 24 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The gearbox option is the same 6-speed unit and the braking power comes from 320 mm disc at the front and 240 mm at the rear. The suspension duties are taken care of by WP forks at the front and mono-suspension at the rear. The front tyre is 19-inch and the rear is 17-inch with dual-purpose tyres. KTM 250 Adventure compete against the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan.
