By Hyundai officially revealed the Aura facelift ahead of the 2023 Auto Expo. The Korean manufacturer opened bookings for the new compact sedan across the country and customers can book the updated model for a token amount of Rs. 10,000. Like the Grand i10 facelift which was revealed earlier today, the majority of the changes are focused on the front as the company has given a new split grille set-up instead of the single-piece unit on the previous model.
The bumper design is completely different from the outgoing Aura and the designers have added an inverted L-shape LED DRL to give a premium feel to the sedan. Hyundai hasn’t changed the design of the headlamps as they continue to be projector units while the side remains the same even the alloy wheels are carried over. Like the side, Hyundai designers didn’t bother to make any updates for the rear as everything is the same as the pre-facelift model.
The interior gets minor updates as the Aura now comes with new upholstery along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Some of the features updates are USB-C ports, footwell lighting, a new 3.5-inch MID on the instrument cluster, 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Aura now comes with standard four airbags and an option for 6 along with Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) for added safety.
Hyundai Aura will be powered by the same 1.2 L Kappa petrol engine from the earlier model as it produces 83 PS of power at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. This engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The company also offers the same 1.2 L engine with a CNG option as it produces 69 PS of power at 6000 rpm and 95.2 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm, mated to a manual gearbox.
