Hero Mavrick 440 Spied For The First Time Ahead Of Launch

Hero is gearing up to launch the Mavrick 440 in the Indian market soon. The company has been aggressively marketing the model just like they did for the Harley Davidson X440, teasing the model’s name with different letters as an invitation to the journalists for the event. So many reports have indicated that the name is likely Mavrick 440 and the test mule has been spotted ahead of the launch. The Mavrick 440 is based on the same platform as Harley Davidson X440 and it is expected to carry a similar design theme.

The test mule reveals that the Mavrick 440 will come with round headlamps with an H-shape design for the LED DRLs along with clear lens indicators. One of the major changes, when compared to the Harley Davidson X440, is that Mavrick comes with conventional telescopic front forks while the Harley comes with 43 mm upside-down forks. The front fender is also shorter than the X440 and the fuel tank design gets a new design theme while the company has added faux air-intakes to give a muscular look to the Mavrick 440.

The handlebar is positioned slightly higher with mirrors placed on either end and the foot pegs are positioned slightly forward as it gives a relaxed riding position when compared to the aggressive setup on the Harley Davidson. The rear is expected to get a simpler design theme as we haven’t got any pics of the rear yet. The Mavrick 440 is powered by the same 440 cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine producing 27 hp of power and 38 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox but the tuning of the engine is expected to be different.
