By Harley Davidson officially launched the X440 in India at the starting price of Rs. 2.29 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The X440 is the most important launch of Harley Davidson in recent years as the success of the model depends on the future of American manufacturer in India. Hero is taking care of manufacturing and aftersales of X440 as it is going to compete against models like Royal Enfield Classic 350.
The X440 is powered by newly developed 440 cc single cylinder engine producing 27 hp of power at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine is mated to 6-speed gearbox. Harley has given 43 mm USD forks at front and dual shock absorbers at rear. The braking duties are taken care by 320 mm disc at the front and dual-channel ABS is also part of the package for extra safety.
Harley Davidson X440 tips the scale at 190.5 kg and seat height is 805 mm which makes it accessible for all the riders. The tyres on the X440 is the new MRF Zapper Hyke with 100/90-18 at front and 140/70-17 at rear. The X440 is available in three variants – Denim, Vivid and S. The Vivid is priced at Rs. 2.49 lakh and Rs. 2.69 lakh for the S variant which comes all the bells and whistles.
