By Ducati has officially opened pre-bookings for the DesertX Rally in India. The Ducati Desert X Rally is the rugged cousin of the already exhilarating Desert X, boasting a host of off-road-focused features designed to conquer any terrain with confidence and style. Building upon the success of the standard Desert X, which has garnered acclaim since its introduction last year, the Rally edition takes adventure riding to a whole new level. One of the most notable enhancements on the Desert X Rally is the inclusion of a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear spoked wheel setup, ensuring optimal performance and stability in off-road conditions.
Additionally, the bike features an adventure-style high beak on the front mudguard and a KYB USD front fork with a monoshock at the rear, providing improved suspension travel and control. In terms of design and functionality, the Desert X Rally stands out with its forged carbon sump guard, machined gear pedals, and rear brake lever, offering both durability and style. Despite these upgrades, the bike maintains its agility, with only a marginal increase in weight over the standard version.
Under the hood, the Desert X Rally is powered by the same formidable 937 cc Testastretta 11-degree, twin-cylinder engine, delivering an impressive 108 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Riders can choose from six distinct riding modes, including Urban, Sport, Touring, Wet, Enduro, and Rally, each tailored to suit various riding conditions and preferences. Equipped with advanced electronic aids such as traction control, wheelie control, and cornering ABS, as well as a 5-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, the Desert X Rally offers a seamless and immersive riding experience. While the standard Ducati Desert X is priced at Rs 18.33 lakh (ex-showroom, India), enthusiasts can expect the Desert X Rally to command a premium, potentially starting from the Rs 20 lakh mark.
