Bajaj is going to launch the Pulsar NS400 in India on May 3rd as it is one of the most awaited models to be introduced in the country. Even though the company has released several teasers we haven’t got a clear look at the motorcycle until now as the design theme of the new NS400 is going to be a mix of several motorcycles from the Pulsar family which include the new NS200 and N250. The bi-LED projector on the NS400 is similar to the one that we have seen on the N series of Pulsar motorcycles with LED DRL and projector unit.
The visor on the new NS400 is slightly larger than the one on the N250. According to the spy images, the Pulsar NS400 will get 41 mm upside-down golden forks while the Dominar 400 gets 43 mm forks. Another interesting part is that Bajaj has given a single-piece handlebar instead of the clip-on-handle bar. Bajaj has given a muscular design for the fuel tank, which is a signature of Pulsar models. The front tyre is expected to be 110 section like those on the motorcycles of this segment and it could be MRF too.
The instrument cluster on the NS400 will be fully digital and it will come with Bluetooth connectivity which will give connected features as it is popular among buyers of this segment. The engine on the Pulsar NS400 will be a 373 cc single-cylinder unit from Dominar and it produces 39 BHP @ 8,800 rpm and 35 Nm @ 6,500 rpm, mated to 6-speed gearbox and dual-channel ABS will be standard. The tuning of this engine is expected to be different than the one on the Dominar series and it could be a peppy motor like the one on NS200.
